A day exploring themes from The Barefoot Disciple, the Archbishop of Canterbury\\\'s 2011 Lent Book, e.g. ‘Childlike Maturity’, ‘Christ-like Wisdom’, ‘Passionate Humility’, and ‘Bodily Spirituality’ at St Antony’s Priory, Claypath, Durham led by Stephen Cherry, Director of Ministerial Development and Parish Support for the Anglican Diocese of Durham. Donation of £16 includes lunch.

25th February 2012
A quiet day at St Antony’s Priory, Claypath, Durham focusing on working with dreams perceived as welcome messengers in our lives, led by Veronica Whitty who trained in facilitating dream-work in San Francisco in 1996 and leads workshops around the UK. Donation of £16 includes lunch.

Michael Vasey Annual Public Lecture, given by Revd Mark Earey, Queen’s Foundation, Birmingham at Leech Hall, St John’s College, Durham.

10th March 2012
The Centre for Catholic Studies, in conjunction with the Newman Association, the Education Service of the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, and the Catholic Biblical Association of Great Britain, is hosting a study day on ‘The Uses of Scripture in Catholic Prayer, Practice and Theology’ at Durham University. Speakers will include Prof. Lewis Ayres, Dr Richard Briggs, Dr Nicholas King, SJ, The Most Rev. Bernard Longley, Sr Dr Patricia McDonald, SHCJ, Fr Sean Maher and Sr Prof. Mary Mills.
The event will be held on Saturday, 10th March 2012, from 9.30am-5.00pm, in the Department of Theology and Religion. There is a £50 flat fee for the day and lunch (£30 for students or those on lower income).
